出国留学或是旅行以及探亲访友，或多或少都会遇到“拒签”的问题，对于叱咤商业战场的传奇马云来说也不例外。曾经的他也是被澳大利亚拒签了7次才获得签证得以进入这片神奇的土地开阔眼界。那这是一个怎样的故事呢？
阿里巴巴创始人马云披露，他早年在获允赴澳大利亚探望笔友之前，曾被拒签七次。
阿里巴巴的执行主席马云在该公司的杭州总部告诉听众，1985年，澳大利亚根本没有一项签证类别是给中国人访友的，只有一项提供给学者、政府官员和留学生的签证类别。
“没有适合你的签证，”马云当时得知，“我试了七次，然后终于获得了签证。”
随后的旅行是马云第一次出国，而这一切都缘起于他在杭州西湖的香格里拉大酒店外碰到了一个澳大利亚家庭。
当时，马云只有12岁，他在酒店外找机会练习英文，机缘巧合，结识了一名和他年纪相仿的澳大利亚男孩戴维·莫利(David Morley)。
这一家人通过戴维父亲肯(Ken)一直以信件与马云保持联系，最后还邀请他到澳大利亚看望他们。
“我十分感激澳洲让我在Newcastle待了29天，”马云6日说，“我打从心底感谢澳洲对我的支持，给我所有的机会。”
他说，这次旅行打开了他对世界的眼界。马云说，1985年之旅“完全改变了我的未来”，“我在那里学到了澳式英语，还以为自己学的是正统英语。”
报道称，马云一直和这家人保持联系，并且把戴维已故的父亲肯视为自己的澳大利亚父亲，肯甚至借钱给马云，帮他买下自己的第一套公寓。
据报道，现在，马云想继续这些联系，并且增加阿里巴巴平台上已有的1300多种澳大利亚品牌.

Alibaba founder Jack Ma may have become a billionaire and global business leader but he has revealed that he was rejected for an Australian visa seven times before being allowed to visit his penfriend in Newcastle.
The Alibaba executive chairman told an audience, including Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, at the company’s Hangzhou headquarters in China that in 1985 there was not an Australia visa category for a Chinese person wanting to visit friends, only one for academics, government officials and students.
“There is no visa for you,” Mr Ma said he was told. “I tried seven times then I got a visa.”
The subsequent visit was Mr Ma’s first overseas trip and came after meeting an Australian family outside the Shangrila Hotel on Hangzhou’s West Lake.
The 12-year-old Mr Ma, know then by his Chinese name Ma Yun, was near the hotel to practice his English and had chanced upon an Australian boy of a similar age, David Morley.
The family, through David’s late father Ken, stayed in touch with Mr Ma through letters and eventually invited him to visit them in Australia.
“I am very thankful for Australia for that 29 days in Newcastle,” Mr Ma said on Tuesday. “I really in my heart thank Australia for supporting me, giving me all the opportunities.”
Eye opening visit
He said the visit had opened his eyes to the world.
“When I arrived in Australia I was so shocked and amazed by the wonderful things, the people, the culture, the landscapes, the products,” he said.
“I was … educated in China that China was the best and richest country in the world … when I arrived in Australia I saw the world was so different.”
Mr Ma said that trip in 1985 “totally changed my future”.
“There I learned my English my Aussie English,” he said
“I thought the English I learned in Australia was real English.”
Mr Ma remains in touch with the family and considered the late Ken Morley like an Australian father who even lent him the money to buy his first apartment.
Mr Ma wants to continue these links and increase the 1300 Australian brands already on the Alibaba platform.
Mr Turnbull was on hand to witness the launch of an Australian food channel on Chinese video sharing site Youku.
The agreement announced on Tuesday will see the creation of a dedicated channel for Australian companies on youku.com, a video sharing website which claims 500 million active users in China.
“It will allow more Chinese consumers to enjoy easy access to a wider variety of Australia’s premium products and fresh produce,” said Michael Clifton, the senior trade commission in China for Austrade.
Alibaba and Austrade also signed a strategic collaboration agreement to boost the number of Australian products on its platform.
